Our Place

South Bucks Hospice has and will continue to be close to our hearts.  Karen used to attend the painting classes whilst she was having her treatment and always enjoyed going there.  Although she did feel that there wasn't a space within the hospice for her age group and there was a lack of specific support or somewhere within the hospice to go for independent young adults who wish to remain so for as long as possible

At the beginning of 2014 we were approached by the then new CEO, Jo Woolfe.  A brand new hospice was being build and part of her plans were to have a room dedicated to young people, Our Place was then just an idea.

Amazingly we fulfilled our promise to South Bucks Hospice, now called Butterfly House, to donate £30,000 to the new young persons room – Our Place due to be opened in January 2018.  This room will be fun and vibrant fun-filled space, designed to provide an uplifted experience and fitted out with the things young people want, it will have its own dedicated entrance and will have specially trained staff there to provide support.
